Manage the Marketplace

When an employee submits a shift to the Marketplace, you receive a notification. You can then access the Marketplace screen within LiveIQ, review the information, and decide whether to accept or decline the request. The information available includes the date when the request was submitted, shift type, date and time and duration, the employee’s job role, and the affected restaurant. In addition, values for Estimated Labor % and Estimated Labor Cost are displayed on the Marketplace Requests screen to help you help determine which employees are most appropriate for a particular shift.

  • If you want to reject the request, click Decline Shift. When you decline a request, the employee cannot resubmit the shift to the Marketplace. If any applicants already requested the shift, they are notified that the shift has been removed from the Marketplace

  • If you want the shift to be on the Marketplace, you need to accept or decline the applications. To approve or reject an applicant, click in the request area under Requests for the shift, which toggles between approved and declined.

  • After you approve a request, click Save. LiveIQ assigns the shift to the successful applicant and notifies the participants:

    • The successful applicant is notified of the new shift.

    • The unsuccessful applicants are notified they did not get the shift.

    • The employee who originally had the shift is notified that it is assigned to another employee.
